Progress Report: Week of 1/23/06
• Began to learn html code by using tutorial information from the “How Stuff Works” website (http://www.howstuffworks.com).
• Setup a website for uploading webpages, progress reports, and images using a free website provider (Tripod @ www.tripod.com).

Progress Report: Week of 1/30/06
• Assigned teams for each viticultural region of Texas. Team of Eloy Flores III and Jeremiah Mckinney are assigned Escondido Valley.
• Downloaded official legal description of Escondido Valley (http://www.iwineinstitute.com/ ).
• More work with learning html programming.
• Began creating website for Escondido Valley.

Progress Report: Week of 2/06/06
• Learned how to add time, date, page modification date, and hyperlink html tags.
• Created a descriptive list for student websites.
• Posted legal description of American Viticultural Area (AVA), Escondido Valley, to website.

Progress Report: Week of 2/13/06
• Gathered data on Escondido Valley winery
• Digitized map of Escondido Valley using base map from TNRIS at ftp://ftp.tnris.org/DRGs/DRG250K/
• Gathering data from National Climatic Data Center http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/ncdc.html) to create a climograph of the Fort Stockton, TX area.
• Created climogaph using MS Excel to show monthly rainfall and temperature from 1971-2000.
• Descriptive list of class websites completed.
• Defined Terrior and posted it to the website.

• Added square mileage and acreage to website of the Escondido Valley website AVA.
• Found Address and location of Ste. Genevieve winery.
• Added link to website "Top of Page" for the class project description page.
• Standardize all images to 800 x 600 pixels
• Add link to the National Climatic Data Center to our website at the bottom of this page
• Added weather station point file along with winery point to map

Progress Report: Week of 2/27/06
• Creating maps for Quality Control(Eloy’s Escondido overlaid on Dr. Radnicki’s Escondido), Winery/Vineyard location.
• Used Google Maps and TNRIS 250K DRG to verify vineyard location

Progress Report: Week of 3/06/06
• Got precipitation data from TNRIS for our Escondido Valley AVA
• Downloaded the soil from STATSGO instead of SURRGO for Texas
Progress Report: 3/20/06-4/03/06
• Created a Digital Elevation Map (DEM) and Hillshade of the Texas High Plains AVA
• Created a contour map of temperature and rainfall for Escondido Valley AVA
• Created a soils map of Escondido Valley area SSURSGO data
Progress Report: Week of 4/10/06
• Started learning ArcIMS - did the tutorials in the pdf manuals
• Received Virtual Course for ArcIMS at ESRI's Virtual campus
• Downloaded Texas Geology data from USGS
• Texas Hillshade Map downloaded from the Texas Water Development Board.
• Map created for Max/Min Temperature of Escondido Valley Area. Data download from data gateway from USDS NRCS website

Progress Report: Week of 4/17/06-4/24/06
• Worked on Virtual Campus modules for week
• Completed the Virtual Campus module
• Added major roads Texas geology from USGS
• Learned how to develop the workflow from ArcMap to ArcIMS administrator.
